Lansweeper OT (LS Cloud)

The Lansweeper OT (LS Cloud) connector allows customers to use Lansweeper Cloud as the native source for OT specific CI Sync jobs instead of the On-Premise Lansweeper SQL database.

The Lansweeper OT (LS Cloud) connector delivers more OT specific assets, related records and relationships than the On-Prem connector!

Lansweeper has been expanding its world-class scanning technology to introduce a new solution that identifies industrial OT (Operational Technology) devices.

Lansweeper OT identifies devices from manufacturers such as Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Mitsubishi Electric, and Schneider Electric. Lansweeper OT works by using industrial protocols such as Siemens S7 Communication, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC, Modbus (Modicon), BACnet, and OPC UA. The OT scanning capability provides organisations with the visibility and insights they need to reduce the risk of failure and security incidents across their OT infrastructure.

The Lansweeper OT scanner can persist data into either the traditional Lansweeper On-Prem SQL database or it can persist data to Lansweeper Cloud. Persisting OT data to Lansweeper Cloud delivers functional benefits compared with storing the data in Lansweeper On-Prem SQL. Customers should engage Lansweeper to assess which repository is most suitable.

CI Synchronizer now supports OT records being read from Lansweeper Cloud.  CI Sync does this by adding OT specific recordsets to our Lansweeper Cloud (vNext) connector. This  means organisations can now synchronise OT device data to your CMDB with the same level of ease as Lansweeper IT asset (and related) data.

Introducing OT discovery data into your CMDB allows organisations to apply the same range of ITIL service management processes to this highly valuable data. Processes such as Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management are now possible with OT data being automatically maintained in the CMDB. It also means OT data is available centrally to the organisation which can dramatically improve the security posture of these devices.

Works with Lansweeper Cloud
CI Synchronizer's latest extraction technology natively reads OT data direct from Lansweeper Cloud. This means no On-Premise technology is needed whatsoever. Synchronisation is fully cloud-to-cloud (between Lansweeper Cloud and your ServiceNow in the cloud).
Customisable Rules Engine
The same CI Synchronizer rules engine is used to power synchronisation of Lansweeper OT data. This means the mappings, transforms and correlation rules can all be customised to meet the needs of an individual customer.
Natively Interprets OT Record Types
Lansweeper and CI Synchronizer support many more recordsets and relationship types when using Lansweeper OT data from Lansweeper Cloud. Record types include PLCs, Field Devices, Human Machine Interfaces, Industrial Devices and more.
Custom driven input and roadmap
Like all of CI Synchronizer, we are enhancing the Lansweeper OT connector through customer driven requirements. Please contact Syncfish if you are keen to be involved in our Early Adopters Program for Lansweeper OT and help us drive further value from your CMDB.

CI Synchronizer Professional Edition provides a streamlined, out-of-the-box solution for businesses looking for efficient, hassle-free CMDB synchronisation without the need for extensive customisation.

CI Synchronizer Enterprise Edition offers advanced customisation and high-volume data handling capabilities, perfect for organisations with complex synchronisation needs and custom configuration requirements.

Many! Check out each source connector page for details of the supported assets and other records.

Yes. CI Synchronizer can detect which source records have changed since the previous synchronisation job and only sync the newly changed source data.

Throughput is affected by factors outside of the control of CI Synchronizer, however we see a typical throughput of between 200,000 and 400,000 records per hour (and even higher rates are possible).

Yes. CI Synchronizer has a highly customisable rules engine.  Amendment of some Standard (simple) default Data Sync Rules can be performed via the CI Sync Web User Interface and supported with Knowledge Base articles.  Amendment of Advanced Data Sync Rules or creation of Custom Data Sync Rules requires an “Extended Implementation and Ongoing Support Plan” available at an additional cost to your CI Sync Subscription Plan.

Visit the Support page for details on amending the Default CI Sync Data Sync Rules relative to the support plan (including no plan) offered by Syncfish.

Yes. Please fill and submit the Book a Demo form to set up a time to meet with one of the Syncfish team.

No. Each customer is provisioned with a dedicated CI Synchronizer instance.

Ultimately the customer decides, however Syncfish recommends hosting each customer instance physically close to the location of their ServiceNow instance (for best performance). It can be hosted in most/all Azure Regions globally (it is still hosted/managed/maintained by Syncfish, but the customer decides which geography it is physically located in).

No. The source asset data (read from the relevant source system by one of the CI Synchronizer connectors) is transited through your dedicated CI Synchronizer instance then deleted after it’s been processed into ServiceNow.
